In 2011, HIFIMAN launched the HM801 portable digital audio player. At the time, it was cited by the press and audiophile community for its outstanding sonic characteristics.

Thirteen years later, HIFIMAN is proud to introduce the HM800 earphone DAC/amplifier, featuring the same R2R DAC NOS architecture as the HM801, but in a portable piece that is 2% the size of the HM801.

Truly portable

Unlike most portable DAC/amps, the HM800 is truly portable. At only 9 grams, it weighs approximately the same as two sugar cubes. Run it between your earphones and a USB-C cable, and you might not even notice it’s there.

AB Amp + R2R

The internal, independent Class AB balance amplifier exceeds the performance of the Class D amps that are typically found in portable products. Paired with the HIMALAYA R2R DAC that’s embedded in the HM800, and you’ve got a world-class DAC/Amp that’s smaller than a lighter.
